SNEAK PEEK: NYX COSMETICS

Today, I have a sneak peek post for you and it's all about NYX Cosmetics. Around two weeks ago, I was contacted by Dalton and Jennifer over at Bollare. Bollare is a bi-coastally headquartered, full-service, beauty, fashion and lifestyle public relations firm and it's their second year in partnership with the NYX Cosmetics Face Awards. Dalton and Jennifer kindly asked me if I wanted to help support the contest. Since I'm already a huge fan off NYX Cosmetics, I told them that I would be more than happy to do so. As a thank you for my support, they sent me a little care package with some lovely products from NYX Cosmetics to try out.

The items arrived in the mail today! I thought it would be fun to do a little sneak peek post and show you what I got. I'm planning on doing reviews on these, as I think that is something you would like to see. Let me know which product you would like to see a review on first, and I will try and make that happen as soon as possible! :-)

I like everything that they sent me, but I'm most excited to try out the Curve Felt Tip Eye Liner. I have never been good at applying liquid/gel eye liner, so I'm hoping that this is going to be a little more user friendly for me. The shape is very unique, so it looks like it can be very easy to use.

I'm also very curious about the Honey Dew Me Up Primer. I haven't heard too much about this product yet, so I'm very excited to try it out for myself. It looks quite interesting and pretty in the little glass bottle that it comes in! :-)

Which beauty item are you loving from NYX Cosmetics at the moment? Any products here that you would like to see a review on? :-) Love, Christine♥

MAKEUP REVOLUTION ULTRA PROFESSIONAL BLUSH PALETTE IN SUGAR AND SPICE: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

The Makeup Revolution Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice comes with 8 beautiful blushes, both shimmery and matte finishes. There are two deeper, neutral shades in the palette, which can be used as either blushes or bronzers. They both have a matte finish. There are also five pink toned blushes in the palette. Four off them have a matte finish, while one off them have a shimmery finish. The last shade in the palette is a lighter pale pink, which is great for highlighting.

All 8 off the blushes in the Ultra Professional Blush Palette are very smooth and soft to the touch. They are easy to work with, easy to blend and not too powdery. They are all nicely pigmented, but I found some shades to be a little more pigmented than others.

♥ Makeup Revolution Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice.

The Makeup Revolution Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice comes in a black, sleek compact. When you open up the palette, there is a little plastic filter that helps protect the blushes from any damage. There is also a decent sized mirror inside the palette as well, which is awesome. It's a great palette to travel with, as you have a lot off blush options to choose from.

The palette feels very sturdy and compact, and it has a nice weight to it as well. It has a little name sticker on the back off the palette too. The blushes don't have any names though, unlike their Salvation Eyeshadow Palettes.

Overall, I really like the Makeup Revolution Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Sugar and Spice. I think that it's got a nice selection off colors to choose from, mostly pinks. If pink blushes are not your thing, you should check out Makeup Revolution's Ultra Professional Blush Palette in Hot Spice. It's got more off a neutral peachy brown tone to it, so pretty.

There are definitely some great blush shades in this palette. I'm in love with the first shade in the second row, it's such a stunning berry color. It's the most pigmented blush out off the bunch as well. You definitely have to be a little careful with this one. You only need a teeny tiny bit off it on your brush, that's how pigmented it is. I'm such a sucker for pink blushes, so this palette is right up my alley! :-)

MY JULY FAVORITES: MAC COSMETICS, MALLY BEAUTY, NYX COSMETICS & REAL TECHNIQUES

July is almost over, which means that it's time for a brand new monthly favorites post! I can't believe that July is coming to an end, where has the time gone? I feel like the month just started, does anyone feel the same way?

I'm excited that August is right around the corner, because it's one off my favorite months off the year. I love that it's finally starting to get a little colder and darker outside in the evening. One off my favorite things to do during August is to light lots off candles and snuggle up in a warm blanket with a cup off hot chocolate and a good movie/book.

Anyway, enough with the rambling. Let's move on to the items that I have been enjoying this month! :-)

♥ Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, HERE

The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge has been a huge favorite off mine for the entire month off July. I love using it with my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation, they work so well together. The Miracle Complexion Sponge does a great job evening out the foundation and blending it out.

I use the flat side off the sponge to distribute the foundation all over my face, then I use the same side to blend it into my skin and neck area. It makes the foundation look so smooth and flawless. The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is definitely a must try. I will be doing a review on it soon, so stay tuned for that! :-)

♥ MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot in Painterly, HERE

Painterly is one off my favorite Paint Pots by MAC Cosmetics. It's a pretty nude beige that goes on very creamy, but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. It's easy to work with. You can apply it with a brush or with your fingers, I like to use it both ways.

My eyelids are a little blue, so I like using Painterly before I apply any eyeshadows. It neutralizes the color on my eyelids and preps them for the eyeshadows. It makes the eyeshadows last a bit longer on my eyes as well and they also look more vibrant too. Sometimes, I like to wear it by itself for a quick and easy look! :-)

♥ NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach, HERE

The NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach has once again made it into my monthly favorites. Peach is a pretty peachy pink blush with a satin finish. It blends beautifully into the skin, while giving the skin a very natural look. If you have a fair/light skin tone like myself, you need this blush in your life. It's such a gorgeous, everyday kind off color.

I have been using Peach almost every single day in July, I even took it with me on my holiday trip to London. I'm so obsessed with this blush, can't get enough off it! :-)

♥ Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, HERE.

The Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender diffuses the look of pores, minimizes fine lines, and helps protect your makeup so it lasts longer throughout the day. It feels silky smooth on the skin and it gives a beautiful, flawless matte finish without the look of powder. It also comes with a unique buffed-edge Japanese sponge.

If you have oily skin, you must try out the Mally Beauty Evercolor Poreless Face Defender. It instantly mattefies the skin and takes away any shine. I always keep it in my handbag, just in case that I want to touch up my face during the day! :-)

♥ MAC Cosmetics Fix +, HERE.

The MAC Cosmetics Fix + is an aqua-spritz of vitamin and minerals. It's infused with a calm-the-skin blend of green tea, chamomile, cucumber, topped off with the fresh, natural, energizing scent of Sugi. It adds radiance, while setting your makeup in place.

It feels very refreshing on the skin. It makes my makeup last throughout the day, and it also helps prevent it from melting off my face. I love keeping a bottle off Fix + in my handbag, just in case I need a little bit off a pick me up during the hot Summer weather. I have been using it almost every single day in July. It's another product that I can't get enough off, highly recommend it! :-)

 ♥ Cardigan from H&M.

My fashion favorite for the month off July has been this gray cardigan from H&M. It's so soft and comfortable, and it looks cute with a lot off different things. I have mostly been wearing it with jeans, tops/singlets and converse sneakers for a very relaxed look. But you can also dress it up by pairing it with a cute skirt or even a dress! :-)

♥ TV Show: Orange Is The New Black. Photo Source: IMDB

My favorite TV Show for the month off July has been Orange Is The New Black. I'm almost finished with the first season, so I'm a little behind on the show. If you are not familiar with the show, it's about the story of Piper Chapman, a woman in her thirties who is sentenced to fifteen months in prison after being convicted of a decade-old crime of transporting money for her drug-dealing girlfriend.

It's a good show with lots off funny and interesting characters. I tried watching it when it first came out on Netflix about a year ago, but I didn't quite get into it. I decided to give it another chance and I'm glad that I did. So far I'm really enjoying it and I'm excited to catch up with the new season soon! :-)

What have you been loving for the month off July? Any TV Shows that I should check out? Are you looking forward to August? :-) Love, Christine♥

NAILS OF THE DAY: JULEP NAIL COLOR IN ANITA

Happy Friday, how are you guys doing today? I hope that everyone is doing great and that you are enjoying you're day so far. Today's blog post is going to be all about the nails, because I have a brand new Nails Of The Day post to share with you.

On Monday, I shared my Sephora haul (check out the post, HERE) with you guys. In that haul, I featured the Julep Resort Collection, which is a cute little nail color set with three mini nail polishes and a top coat. Anita, the pretty purple nail polish is the reason why I really wanted to try out this set from Julep. Both Lani and Malia are pretty shades too, but there was just something about Anita that spoke to me and cought my attention immediately! :-)

♥ Julep Nail Color in Anita, HERE.

♥ Julep Nail Color in Anita, HERE.

This is actually my very first time trying out the brand Julep and so far I'm really enjoying it. Anita is such a stunning nail polish, it's definitely worth picking up if you are a fan off purples! :-)

What do you think about Julep's Nail Color in Anita? Would you wear it on you're nails? Have you tried Julep before? What nail polish are you currently wearing on you're nails? :-)

MAKEUP REVOLUTION SALVATION VELVET LIP LAQUER IN WHAT I BELIEVE & KEEP LYING FOR YOU: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

The Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquers are a long lasting lipgloss that goes on as a liquid and dries to a highly pigmented, bold matte finish. When you first apply them, they feel nice and creamy. Once they start to dry they feel a bit sticky, but it goes away after they have fully dried.

♥ Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in What I Believe & Keep Lying For You.

I found What I Believe to be a little easier to apply than Keep Lying For You. Since What I Believe is a much lighter shade, it's also more forgiving if you were to make any mistakes. Keep Lying For You can be a little tricky and a bit messy to apply straight from the tube, if you don't have a steady hand. So definitely take a little bit off extra time when you are working with these, because the end result is going to look a thousand times better if you do.

Once the Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquers are on the lips, they won't budge or smudge. They dry quickly, they are quite build able and they last a while on the lips before they need to be re-applied. They don't have an unpleasant scent or taste, which is nice and they are easy to remove as well. I just use my Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes and they come right off.

♥ Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in What I Believe & Keep Lying For You.

The Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquers come in a pretty black and rose gold packaging. The bottom half off the tube is clear, which allows you to see the exact color off the product inside the tube. There is also a little sticker on the bottom off the tube with the name off the shades.

♥ Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in What I Believe & Keep Lying For You.

The Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquers have a matte finish. If you're not into the matte look, I don't think that you are going to like these. Personally, I have never been a big fan off matte lips. The matte lipsticks that I have tried in the past have always felt a bit uncomfortable and dry on the lips, and they have made my lips look a bit crusty and flaky and that's not a cute look in my book. So whenever I'm wearing matte lipsticks now, I always like to add a little bit off lip gloss on top just for some nice shine.

♥ Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer in What I Believe.

What I Believe is a pretty nude pink with a matte finish.

Keep Lying For you is a gorgeous purple with a matte finish.

Overall, I really like the Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquers from Makeup Revolution. I feel like they go on a lot easier and they look more smoother on my lips, if I use a lip balm underneath. The lip balm prevents my lips from looking too dry, cracked and patchy. Both colors are nice and bright, but not too intense. They are actually more wearable than what they look like in the tube. Keep Lying For You is definitely my favorite, I have been really into purple lips lately. I really want to pick up the rest off the shades in this range, they all look so pretty! :-)

MAKEUP REVOLUTION AMAZING LIPSTICK IN CHIC, DEPRAVED AND CRIME: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

Today, I'm going to share my thoughts on a couple off the Amazing Lipsticks by Makeup Revolution. Makeup Revolution is a brand that has been all over the beauty community lately, everyone and their cat seems to be enjoying their products. So if you want to know my thoughts on the Amazing Lipsticks by Makeup Revolution, then just keep reading! :-)

♥ Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick in Chic, Depraved & Crime.

The Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipsticks ranges from nudes to brights with both creamy and matte finishes. There are over 20 different shades in this range off lipsticks, so there is definietly a little something for everyone here.

The Amazing Lipsticks come in a black tube with a little sample off the lipstick on top off the cap, as well as a sticker with the name off the shade on the side off the tube. It also has the Makeup Revolution logo on the side off the cap. The Amazing Lipsticks have a very sweet scent, which reminds me a lot off the MUA Makeup Academy Love Hearts Lip Balms! :-)

♥ Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick in Crime.

Overall, all three off these Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipsticks are very creamy. They feel very smooth and soft on the lips and they have a great color payoff as well. All three shades here are pretty, but my favorite is hands down Crime. It's such a stunning vibrant pink, which just brightens up the entire face.

Chic and Depraved are pretty shades too! Chic is a little too glittery for my taste though. If only it had the same lovely finish as Crime, then it would probably be my favorite one out off the three. Depraved looks gorgeous in the tube and swatched on my hand, but I don't like how it looks on my lips. I found it to be a little difficult to apply and it looks a bit patchy on my lips too.

The Amazing Lipsticks by Makeup Revolution are only £1.00 each, which is super affordable. It's awesome for those off you who has an obsession with lipsticks (like myself), but don't want to spend a lot off money on them! :-)
