BEAUTY HAUL: H&M

Today's blog post is going to be all about the new beauty range from H&M. They recently upgraded their entire makeup range and stepped up their packaging game. When I saw photos of their new products, I immediately went on their website and placed an order.

Their prices are a bit higher than what they used to be, so I'm looking forward to see how the quality is and how they compare to their former range. I personally think that their previous beauty range looked a bit cheap and fragile, now they actually look sleek and very classy. So if you want to see what I picked up from their new beauty range, then keep reading! :-)
♥ H&M Nail Polishes in Go To Greige, (HERE), Cloudburst, (HERE) & Bitter Chocolate, (HERE).
♥ H&M Eyeshadow Palette in Smoky Nudes, (HERE).

♥ H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blushes in Cantaloupe, (HERE) & Sunrise Pink, (HERE).
♥ H&M Lipstick in Brunette Ambition, (HERE).
♥ H&M Quick Dry Nail Spray, (HERE).

Their new beauty range consists of everything from single eyeshadows/palettes, blushes and bronzers to foundations, powders, concealers and everything else in between. I picked up a gorgeous eyeshadow palette, two blushes, one lipstick, three nail polishes and a quick drying nail spray which I'm very intrigued to test out. I haven't tried a quick drying nail spray before, so I'm excited to try it out and see if it works or not.

We'll see what I think about the products when I have had a chance to play around with them. If you would like to see reviews on any of the products featured in this post, let me know in the comments down below! :-)

What do you think about the new beauty range from H&M? Do you like the packaging? Will you be picking up anything from the range? :-)

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: WHAT ARE 10 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT YOU?

In this week's Question Of The Week post, I thought that I would share 10 random facts about me. I really hope you find this somewhat entertaining and fun to read, it's definitely a lot more personal than my other previous two posts that I have done in this series so far. Without any further ado, here are 10 random facts about me! :-)

1.) My favorite makeup products to test out are eye shadows, lipsticks and blushes. I don't know why, but I always gravitate towards them whenever I'm in a store or online browsing on my favorite beauty websites.

2.) I love to sing! It's one of my favorite things to do, although I don't have the greatest voice on the planet. I mostly keep my singing behind closed doors, usually in the shower with a shampoo bottle in one hand pretending to be a participant on The Voice!

3.) I'm not a party girl. I would much rather snuggle up in a warm blanket with Simon by my side and order some takeaway, watch movies or play video games on a Saturday night.

♥ The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time: Photo Source, (HERE).

4.) I love to play video games, it's been a hobby of mine ever since I was a little girl. I remember when my parents got me a PlayStation 2 for Christmas with the Lord Of The Rings Two Towers game. I think I completed that game around 20-30 times, that's how much I loved it. It's definitely one of my favorite Christmas presents that I have received, because it was the beginning of my love for gaming.

Some of my all-time favorite video games are The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time, Diddy Kong Racing, Call Of Duty World At War and Call Of Duty Black Ops 2. Do you like to play video games? If you do, do you have any game recommendation? Thank you! :-)

5.) I love taking photos for my blog! I'm so glad that I decided to invest in a good camera, because I don't regret it for a second. For all of you who are wondering what camera I'm using, it's the Canon 550D. I bought it back in 2009, so it's turning 6 this year. Although it's old, it's just as good as it was when I first bought it and I haven't had any problems with it.

If you are thinking about investing in a good camera but you are a bit hesitant to go out and spend your money on it, just do it. You are not going to regret it if you love photography, believe me. There are so many amazing cameras on the market at the moment, so you definitely don't need to go out and buy the most expensive one to take good photos. Just do some re-search and look up reviews online. It's what I did when I bought my camera and it's been really helpful, especially if your not 100% sure what camera to go for! :-)

6.) I love to travel, I think it's really fun to visit new countries and experience different cultures and their way of life. I'm going to Thailand in March with Simon and his family. We are going to Phuket once again and I'm really looking forward to it. We went to Phuket a couple of years ago and I had such a blast there, it's such a beautiful place so I'm very excited to go back there. The only thing that I'm not looking forward to is the long plane ride. I'm really scared of flying, but as long as I have Simon by my side I know everything will be okay.

7.) I love to paint my nails, I just find it very relaxing and therapeutic. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way. No? Just me? Come on, I know your out there! :-) I just finished organizing my nail polish drawers and wall racks and I really like how it turned out. I'm planning on doing a makeup and nail polish storage and organization post as soon as I'm done sorting out and organizing everything. Leave me a comment down below if you are excited to see it! :-)

8.) I actually like to clean, I find it to be quite relaxing and fun (most of the time, not always) to be completely honest with you. I know it might sound weird to some of you, but it's the truth. I love putting on some loud music and just clean, doing a little bit of singing and dancing in between the takes, ha ha. I feel a bit anxious when our apartment is messy and untidy, which is why I like to keep it as clean and tidy as possible.

♥ Emilie Nicolas: Photo Source, (HERE).

9.) I'm currently listening to Emilie Nicolas, who is a singer from Norway. I got to see her perform live last weekend during a music festival here called Parkenfestivalen. She is such a talented soul, her voice is beautiful and quite unique. I highly recommend that you check her out on Spotify, you can find her profile here

10.) I'm really into home decor, I love decorating our apartment and making it look all nice and cozy. I recently came across a couple of cute pillow cases on eBay, which I'm planning on ordering for our living room area. Our apartment is mostly all grey, brown, black and white so they are going to fit right in with our style. You can find the pillow cases here! :-)

What are 10 random facts about you? :-)

NICKA K NEW YORK LIP COLOUR GLOSS IN BOCA RATON & NAPLES: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

Nicka K New York Lip Colour Gloss in Boca Raton and Naples (£4.50 for 6.3g.) delivers weightless wear, luminous color and all-day shine. They are both smooth and easy to apply and they go on even on the lips. They are very creamy and soft and they feel super comfortable on the lips. They don't feel sticky or goopy at all and they have a faint fruity scent, which isn't too overpowering and sickly.
♥ Nicka K New York Lip Colour Gloss in Boca Raton, (HERE) & Naples, (HERE).

I think the packaging is really cute. They come in a sleek and pretty, clear tube with a beautiful touch of rose-gold colored detailing on the handle. The tube is quite flat, which is very different and unique compared to most of my lip glosses in my makeup collection. Since the tubes are so flat, they hardly take up any space in my makeup drawer/daily makeup bag, which is always a good thing for us girls who can't seem get enough lip products in our lives! :-)

Boca Raton (£4.50 for 6.3g.) is a pretty pink with shimmer. It's a little more sheer compared to Naples, so you do have to really build it up to make it look more opaque on the lips. The shimmer is very fine so you won't be able to feel it on your lips.

Naples (£4.50 for 6.3g.) is a beautiful terracotta color. It's such a gorgeous color, which is great for layering on top of nude lipsticks for some extra color and shine.

Overall, I do think that these Lip Color Glosses from Nicka K New York are a great choice if you are looking for a more affordable lip gloss to add to your makeup collection. Both Boca Raton and Naples are beautiful colors, but Naples is definitely my favorite out of the two. It really impressed me with it's pigmentation and it's such a lovely color on it's own but also applied on top of nude lipsticks.

They both lasted a couple of hours on my lips, before I needed to re-apply them. I normally don't wear lip glosses for more than a couple of hours anyway, so that's not something I really care about. There is a good selection of colors to choose from in this range from Nicka K New York, so I'm sure you will find a shade or two that you fancy trying out for yourself! :-)

Ingredients:
Petrolatum, Paraffinum Liquidum, Lanolin, Bees wax, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polybutene, Microcrystalline Wax, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, BHA, D&C Red 6 Ba Lake (CI 15850:2), D&C Blue 1 Al Lake (CI 42090:2), Iron Oxide, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

Where to buy?
Nicka K New York Lip Colour Gloss in Boca Raton & Naples are available at Beauty Crowd for £4.50 each, (HERE).

Note:
Nicka K New York is cruelty free.

What do you think about the Nicka K New York Lip Colour Glosses? Have you tried them out for yourself? Which shade is your favorite, Boca Raton or Naples? :-)

MY MONTHLY FAVORITES: AUGUST 2015

Yet another month have passed by, which meas that it's time for me to share my August beauty favorites with you. Despite being sick with the flu and a really bad cough, August has been a good month. I have tried out a handful of new products this month, but only a few of them has made their way into my favorites. I have also re-discovered a couple of products as well, which I'm really excited to share with you in today's post.

So if you want to see what beauty products I have been loving this month, then keep reading! :-)
♥ Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, (HERE).

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is hands down one of my favorite top coats to finish of my new manicure. It makes the nail polish look gorgeous and so shiny. It evens out any mistakes that you might have made during the application and makes the nail polish look flawless on. It dries very quickly and it makes the nails quite hard, almost like gel nails.

The only thing that I don't like about Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is that it gets all goopy after a while. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about if you have tried it out for yourself. Seche makes a product called Seche Restore, (HERE) which is an restoration thinner. It's going to restore your Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to it's original consistency with only a few drops of the restoration thinner. I think it's a must have if you own a bottle of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat in your collection.

♥ NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach, (HERE).

♥ NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach, (HERE).

♥ NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach, (HERE).

You might have seen me talk about this beauty of a blush in a couple of my previous monthly favorites posts, if not your in for a real treat. NYX Cosmetics Powder Blush in Peach is a gorgeous peachy pink blush, which I have been reaching for a lot this month. It's nicely pigmented and it looks so pretty and natural on the cheeks. It's a lovely every day blush, which looks beautiful with any makeup look. I'm a big fan of these powder blushes from NYX Cosmetics. I think that the quality is great and they are quite affordable as well, which is always a good thing! :-)
♥ L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Polish in Cliche Mania, (HERE).

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Polish in Cliche Mania is a gorgeous, medium dark purple. I have been wearing it on my nails for the past couple of weeks and I'm already hooked on it. The formula and pigmentation is wonderful and it's so creamy and easy to apply. It has held up pretty nicely on my nails. No chips during the first week, which is quite rare for me. Nail polishes usually only last up to 5-6 days on my nails, no matter what base and top coat I'm using.

Cliche Mania is such a gorgeous color, which I think is the perfect color for Autumn and Winter. I'm already looking forward to painting my nails with this color again, it's such a stunning shade. If you missed my latest nail post featuring this lovely nail polish, you can check it out here! :-)
♥ L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude, (HERE).

♥ L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick in Fairest Nude, (HERE).

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche in Fairest Nude is one of my all-time favorite lipsticks. It's a beautiful pinky brown with a shiny finish. It's a smooth, creamy and pigmented lipstick that last a while on my lips before I need to re-apply it. It's a little on the darker side, which I really like. I'm obsessed with deeper and darker nudes, I just think that they look a lot better on me compared to the more lighter shades.Definitely make sure to let me know your thoughts on Fairest Nude if you have tried it out or what you think about it if you do decide to pick up a tube for yourself. I would love to hear what you think about it! :-)
♥ Lush Cosmetics Mask Of Magnaminty, (HERE).

♥ Lush Cosmetics Mask Of Magnaminty, (HERE).

Lush Cosmetics Mask Of Magnaminty has been my go-to face mask in August. It's a peppermint mask, which fights breakouts and help your skin return to it's tip top condition. It's quite thick and it leaves behind that tingly, cold feeling on the skin. I like to use it once a week to keep my skin pimple free. I love that it's got a green tint to it, makes me look like The Hulk whenever I'm wearing it, haha.

I love how amazing and hydrated my skin feels after I've rinsed it off, such a refreshing feeling. Whenever I can feel or see a pimple starting to pop out, I apply this on the area and let it sit on my skin for about 10-15 minutes (I usually do this before I go to bed) and it's completely gone the next morning. It's magic in a tub, definitely worth picking up if you struggle with breakouts.

What products have you been loving this month? Have you tried out any of my favorites? If you have, what do you think about them? :-)

URBAN DECAY NAKED2 BASICS EYESHADOW PALETTE: REVIEW, PHOTOS & SWATCHES

Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette ($25.00 for 13g.) contains six beautiful, neutral shades that are all in cool, taupe hues. Five of the eyeshadows have a matte finish, while one has a more satiny finish. The palette has five never-before-seen shades, which are called Stark, Frisk, Cover, Primal and Undone.

The eyeshadows in the Naked2 Basics palette have a nice, velvety soft texture. They are easy to work with and they blend beautifully onto the eyes. The pigmentation of the eyeshadows are great, but they can be a bit powdery during the application.
♥ Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette, (HERE).

♥ Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette, (HERE).

♥ Urban Decay Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette, (HERE).
The Naked2 Basics Eyeshadow Palette comes in a sleek, soft-touch case that has a suede-like feel and a slight sheen. It's quite small and compact, which makes it a travel friendly little eyeshadow palette. It's the same size as the first Naked Basics palette, except that this one has a different color on the casing and the writing is a lot lighter as well. Since it's so small and compact, it won't take up much space in your makeup drawer.

Skimp, a pale nude satin.

♥ Stark, a nude-pink matte.

♥ Frisk, a warm gray matte.

♥ Cover, a muted red-brown matte.

♥ Primal, a muted brown matte.

♥ Undone, a deep, smoky brown matte.

The Naked2 Basics might just be my new favorite, go-to eyeshadow palette. I'm in love with all six of the eyeshadows in this little palette, they are so beautiful and very me. I have a bit of a weakness for eyeshadows with taupe hues, so there is no doubt that this palette is right up my alley.

The first Naked Basics palette has a color called Crave, which is a very dark black. I hardly ever wear black eyeshadows on my eyes (only as eyeliner for a more softer look) so it's not a color that I get much use out off. So I'm really happy that Urban Decay decided to add Undone to the Naked2 Basics, which is a deep, smoky brown. I know I will be reaching for this color a lot more, which means that I will be able to enjoy this palette to the fullest. Naked2 Basics is such a versatile little palette, which I know I'm going to be reaching for again and again. I like all six of the eyeshadows, but my top three favorites are Stark, Frisk and Cover! :-)

Ingredients:

BEAUTY HAUL: COLOURPOP COSMETICS

Today's blog post is going to be a quick haul featuring the items that I ordered from ColourPop Cosmetics a couple of weeks ago. ColourPop has been the talk of the town for quite some time now and a very popular brand among beauty bloggers all around the world. With their lovely products and amazing prices, there is no doubt that they are here to stay! :-)
♥ ColourPop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip in Trap, (HERE), Solow, (HERE) & Bumble, (HERE).

When I saw that ColourPop tweeted about their new Ultra Matte Lips, I immediately jumped on their website to browse through the color selection. I ended up with only three Ultra Matte Lips in my cart and I'm quite proud of myself, ha ha. I have never been that into matte lips, so I thought that it would be best to start with a couple of shades, just in case they are not my cup of tea.

I picked up Trap, Solow and Bumble, which are all on the more neutral side. All three shades look really pretty, so I'm excited to test them out and see how I like them.
♥ ColourPop Cosmetics Where The Light Is, (HERE).
♥ ColourPop Cosmetics Where The Light Is, (HERE).

I also ended up adding the Where The Light Is foursome to my shopping cart, which was created by the lovely KathleenLights on YouTube. I think this little foursome of eyeshadows look beautiful so I can't wait to play around with them. I'm a big fan of Kathleen, she has been a favorite of mine for a while now. Would you like to see swatches and a review on this collection?

What are your thoughts on the new Ultra Matte Lips from ColourPop? Will you be picking up any shades from the range? What do you think about the KathleenLights collaboration with ColourPop? Do you like the colors that she created? :-)

NAILS OF THE DAY: L'OREAL PARIS COLOR RICHE LE VERNIS NAIL POLISH IN CLICHE MANIA

It's been a while since I have painted my nails and boy does it feel good to sit down and play around with nail polish again. I love painting my nails, it's just something about it that I find very relaxing and therapeutic. Is that just me or do you feel the same way?

The color that I'm wearing on my nails today is called Cliche Mania and it's by the brand L'Oreal Paris. I received Cliche Mania in my July GLOSSYBOX, which was a collaboration between GLOSSYBOX and L'Oreal Paris. It's such a gorgeous purple that is a little on the darker side. I really like the formula and the pigmentation of these Color Riche Le Vernis nail polishes from L'Oreal Paris. They are so creamy and so easy to apply and they are almost always opaque in just two coats.

Autumn is right around the corner and Cliche Mania is the perfect nail color to go along with it. It's such a stunning purple that I know I will be reaching for a lot this season. I used the Formula X for Sephora Base Coat and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to complete this look.
